Pieta: Carved in 1499. It was carved in St. Peter’s Basilica. It depicted Jesus in Mary’s arms after the crucifixion.
David: Was carved in 1505. It was carved in Florence, Italy. It is a sculpture of a human male.
Sistine Chapels: Was painted in 1512 in Vatican City. Was he his most famous art work, it his on the ceiling of a chapel in Vatican City for the Pope.

Script: Hi my name is Sam Eastman and my partner is Andrew Diesh. We are doing our project on Michelangelo. Michelangelo was born in Arezzo, Tuscany in 1475. Michelangelo began his art career in 1496 when he arrived in Rome. His first major art work was the Pieta, a depiction of the body of Jesus on the lap of his mother Mary after the Crucifixion, which was carved in 1499. His next major art work, which was one of his most famous, was the statue of David in 1504, which depicts a statue of a human male. His next art work, which was his most famous art work was, the Sistine Chapels from 1508 to 1512, which was a painting on the ceiling of a chapel for the Pope. Michelangelo also studied human anatomy. He died in 1564 in Rome at the age of 88. And That’s our project and thanks for listening.
